I just received your Heirloom Tomato book from Amazon and I’m gob smacked on its sheer brilliance! It is so gorgeous. You have helped elevate the tomato to a higher pedestal. Thank YOU! I have a quite a few tomato books and gardening books however your book was the most inspiring.
I have ordered the Voyage tomato for Booksin Elementary and the kids went nuts over the tomato and the story behind it. Between another garden mom and myself we have compiled about 60 tomato seeds and will be planting about 40 varieties this summer for the garden and fundraiser. Your segment with Martha Stewart inspired me to explore heirlooms with great stories behind them like Mortgage Lifter and Voyage.
I’m dreaming big and organizing a $35k garden renovation fundraiser. We will be including heirlooms in the fundraiser. I just wanted to thank you for inspiring me to do something wonderful.
